How do boys clothing sizes run per age?
December 25th, 2009 | by admin |I have 3 brothers who live at home yet and I would like to buy them some nice clothes for summer. NO CLUE as to what size to get them…My mom buys them mens clothing and they look dorky…I want to get them some more stylish type clothes off ebay or wherever I have to look.
Ages are 13, 15, 17 I KNOW my mom buys the 17 yr old 32×32 mens jeans. The 13 yr old is tall for his age and the 15 yr old is short…they are the nearly the same size.
What size would you recommend…for those that have boys this age?
Ok here is the situation more clearly…she buys them cheap mens clothes that fit. Rather than shopping in the correct section cuz she can get deals here & she is on a very limited income. BUT my lil brothers don’t like wearing mens wranglers that hike up to their rib cage a mens hanes t-shirt with an AL Borlan flannel? See the picture? So I would like to get them some boys or whatever that fit good that is also more sylish like most teenage boys wear? Just have no idea to figure out sizes based on the current “mens sizes” they are wearing LIke a 32×32 jean…what boys size would correlate to that? Just thought I would clarify…thanks again (mom doesn’t even know what size they would wear?)

I can’t tell you accurately. I can’t even make an educated guess without seeing them. Mothers know everything — EVERYTHING — about their children, though. Ask your mother what sizes they have.

Well, just go take a peek in their closets and check their tags to see what sizes they currently own. If you think your mom dresses them with clothes that are too big, then buy them a size smaller, if you think they’re too small, buy them a size bigger.

Well I am 5 ft 6in and wear 32×30, the first number is waist size and the second is the pants length. Based on what I am, I would say anyone taller should get 32×32, shorter by a few inches would be 30×30 most likely. If you were to buy shirts, I would say someone who wears any of those size pants correlates to a large.
