Where can I find jeans for very tall, skinny boys?
January 27th, 2010 | by admin |SkinnyTwins asked:
I have 11 year old twins who are both tall (5′ and 5′1″), long legged, and very skinny. One has a waist of 25, the other a waist of 26. But their inseam is 30 inches! One still has to wear a belt even with 14 Slims (when I can find them!) but they’re getting too short now. No one makes 16 Slims (that I can find), and 16R would literally fall off of them. The waist x inseam jeans only start at waists of 28 at the smallest. How do I keep my boys clothed without making them wear high-waters? (Or putting them in jeans where the belt ends up squeezing the waist so much they look like they’re wearing a sack!) Does *anywhere* make Tall jeans for boys the way they do for adults? Judging by the measurements for most sizes, my boys must be freaks – but they don’t look freakish – just tall and a little skinny.

Sears or Penney’s have unusual sizes, especially longer in longer inseams or smaller waist sizes. However you may have to order them through the catalog. A friend wears 28 waist and gets his there

I do not know where you can find boys’ jeans in that size, but you can definitely start a jeans line for tall and slim boys (you can make a lot of money), because now these day, the kids seen to be much taller than when I was at their age.
**11 years old, 5′, 30″ inseam, wow, very long legs.
***Take a sewing class, buy aduts jeans (28″ waist line), sew the waist at the side seam, and the center back seam to make it smaller at the waist (pants will be easier to sew than jeans).

Try the womans section. You’ll find all the major brands. Just don’t get them with lace or pink on them.
